Currently, we are seeking an experienced AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC to join our growing team at our shop in Lively, ON. The individual selected for this position will perform all automotive activities related to keeping equipment operable, including but not limited to inspecting and testing vehicles; preventative maintenance, such as engine tune-ups, oil changes and tire rotations; diagnosing and performing mechanical and electrical repairs; replacing parts; and maintaining supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Valid 310s Automotive Service Technician Red Seal license is required
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ automotive experience with heavy equipment
  • Demonstrated skills with troubleshooting and performing repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
  • A team player who can also work independently and show initative
  • Willing and able to undergo pre-employment testing as a condition of employment

Fonctions principales

Les tâches de L’Adjointe administrative incluent, mais ne sont pas limitées à:

  • Fournira un soutien administratif en travaillant en étroite collaboration avec les gestionnaires.
  • Organiser, coordonner et assurer la logistique des réunions et autre rencontre des gestionnaires;
  • Assister à des réunions et rédiger des procès-verbaux;
  • Effectuer la mise en page et la révision/correction de différents textes;
  • Effectuer la gestion des factures et le suivi des coûts;
  • Effectuer la gestion/répartition des appels téléphoniques du courrier (postaux et électronique);
  • Accueillir les visiteurs;
  • Effectuer la préparation de présentations, de lettres, de télécopies, de contrats, de propositions, de communications internes et externes, etc.
  • Toutes autres tâches connexes.

 Compétences / Qualifications:

  • Recherchée possède de fortes compétences dans l’organisation, la gestion des priorités et maîtrise les logiciels Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • S’agit d’une personne autonome qui a la capacité de gérer le stress efficacement et de respecter des échéanciers.
  • Considérant que le bureau chef de l’entreprise est situé en Ontario, la personne doit être bilingue français/anglais (parlé et écrit).
  • Possède 3 années d’expérience dans un poste similaire ainsi qu’un DEP en secrétariat, un DEC en bureautique ou toute autre formation pertinente.

Currently, Technica is seeking experienced Licensed Heavy Equipment Technicians to join our growing team in Timmins, ON. The individuals selected for these positions must be capable of providing a full range of mechanical functions including servicing, troubleshooting and maintaining motorized equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Candidates must also be able to follow daily lineups, execute scheduled work, troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical failures, order parts as required and maintain proficient service logs. Ideal applicants can execute strong diagnostic skills to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and illustrate commitment to safe, quality work. Applicants must be able to perform in a self-directed manner within a fast paced team environment in accordance with health and safety standards as well as manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician License and have a valid Ontario College of Trades Membership; individuals holding a Truck and Coach Technician License may also be considered
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of field mechanical experience
  • Individuals with distinguished experience with maintenance on Jumbos and Bolters are preferred
  • Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000, U0001, U0002 & U0012) or equivalent provincial designation a definite asset

Electricians

The individuals selected for these positions will be expected to provide all facets of underground electrical construction services including strong installation, troubleshooting and repair skills. Ideal candidates will have sufficient experience in performing activities such as cable and primary switchgear and transformer installations, messenger cable installations, high voltage terminations, control wirings and 600V and 120V distributions. Candidates will also be responsible for the maintenance of electrical mining equipment such as drill jumbos and mechanized bolters and will be required to keep sound records of work performed, organize materials, and assist in commission of projects. Experience maintaining power supply to generators is a definite asset. These individuals will be expected to receive daily safety and work line-up from their immediate supervisor(s) and complete the daily line-up safely and on time.

  • Must hold a valid Construction and Maintenance 309a Electrical License
  • Be active with the Ontario College of Trades with membership in good standing

Electrical Supervisor

Currently, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our growing team. TReporting to the Electrical Superintendent, the Electrical Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership to provide safe and efficient execution of electrical service, repairs and installations. Working with the maintenance stakeholders, this position is responsible for providing supervision to the electrical team consisting of licenced and apprentice personnel to ensure production and maintenance targets are met.  This role will plan, organize, and oversee day to day operations while working closely with the electrical superintendent to develop and manage sound electrical  workings safely and in accordance with company standards and procedures.

Qualifications:

    • Established background in mechanical equipment and working knowledge of electrical equipment are required
    • Trained and Accredited in the Generic Supervisor Common Core Program (#770141)
      • Must hold a valid Construction and Maintenance 309a Electrical License
      • Be active with the Ontario College of Trades with membership in good standing
      • 5 years of related experience, preferably in a supervisory role
      • Strong communication skills including oral and written
      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Ability to plan, organize and work with minimal supervision
      • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
      • Sound knowledge of primary mobile equipment maintenance and OEM specifications

Jumbo Operators

The individuals selected for these positions will be expected to be experienced in the operation of an underground jumbo drill for the purposes of lateral, incline and decline ramp development.  In addition to being a Jumbo operator, the successful candidate will also be required to provide all other facets of underground development as maybe required from time to time for purposes of mining advance.  These duties could also include LHD operation, mechanized bolting, service advance and any other underground activity that may be required to complete the various projects. These individuals will be expected to receive daily safety and work line-up from their immediate supervisor(s) and complete the daily line-up safely and on time.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess their Full Common Core for Underground Hard Rock Miner (U0000 to U0012), or equivalent provincial designation
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years work experience
  • Must have U0018, U0089 or U0092 depending on equipment or specific task
  • Experience with Atlas Copco Jumbo’s and MacLean Series bolters will be given top consideration

Qualifications:

  • Must possess their Full Common Core for Underground Hard Rock Miner (U0000 to U0012), or equivalent provincial designation
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years work experience as a mechanized bolter.
  • Must have U0018 – Operate Mechanized Bolter
  • Experience with either MacLean Series bolters or Atlas Copco Boltec will be given top consideration.

Currently, Technica is seeking experienced Project Coordinator to join our growing team. Responsibilities of this position include;

  • Demonstrating the value of safety by exhibiting Technica Way safety behaviors at all times;
  • Analyzing reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and photographs for project planning and design
  • Planning, preparing and modifying reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for project.
  • Executing the value of planning and scheduling work by reviewing and assisting in the development of site plans and schedules weekly;
  • Communicating in an inspirational manner the broad strategy as it affects the overall Technica Mining Operations;
  • Attending and supporting supervisors during daily line-up meetings as required
  • Managing and overseeing all material movement from surface to underground
  • Scheduling all subcontractors work with assistance of Coordinator and subcontractor contact
  • Reviewing scopes of work and project drawings, developing methodologies and job steps procedures for all work with assistance from Supervisors, Mine Superintendents and Project Manager
  • Ensuring scheduled work has appropriate materials for scope, project and site specs for execution of quality standards

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Mining Engineering Technology or Mining Engineering B. Eng designation
  • Experience in an industrial, construction or manufacturing is preferred
  • Possesses strong, proficient computer skills in such areas as Microsoft Office, Auto Cad, Moss, etc.
  • Strong communications skills and ability to interact and engage with cross functional teams
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Willing and able to undergo pre-employment testing as a condition of employment
